Photo Me Vintage!

February 11, 2011 at 11:16 pm (A Day in the Life of...)

Had a fun photoshoot with my fellow models from S.L.F Modeling Agency the other day.  We were asked to dress vintage so I put on a lovely outfit from *diavolicious* called Burlesque that I styled in a previous post here.  Today the boss lady, AmethystMoon Chant, sent me my copies and I wanted to share them!  The photoshoot was done by Sadie Narstrom who was a blast to work with and she turned out some gorgeous photos.  I can’t wait to see how the other girls’ photos look too!  Let me share 🙂

Meeting of the Fashion Minds

February 6, 2011 at 11:03 pm (A Day in the Life of..., Exploring SL)

I had the honor and pleasure of attending the first Tea Party of a private group of fashion related individuals today:  designers, models and bloggers.  It was much fun!  It is a time to meet for us to just relax and socialize and take time apart from working…which all of us rarely do!  So we sat and chatted and laughed and considered whether we should allow men into the group.  Perhaps if they behave 😉  I took several snapshots to show the beautiful decor.  And allow me to introduce the lovely ladies who attended today!

A Day in the Life of “An Auditioning Model”

January 12, 2011 at 7:53 pm (A Day in the Life of..., Reviews) (, , , , , , , , )

Sweating palms, racing heartbeats, biting lips, pacing the floor…this could describe many things but today it is what was going on at SHYMS Mainstore.  Shym Mosely, owner & designer of SHYMS, held a casting today to find 10 models (female) to represent her stunning brand in both Print & Runway.  The backstage was literally overflowing with gorgeous ladies, there to show their best and disply why they should be chosen to represent such a gorgeous designer!  I do not know that I could have ever chosen 10 from the women who came to the casting.  I wish so much I could have taken pictures of each and everyone to show you just how beautiful they all were.  Shym plans to cast for 5 more at an upcoming date.  I don’t blame her!

Castings/auditions can always be stressful and nerve wracking.  And waiting for the results even more so.  When I first set foot in Shym’s shop, my mouth dropped to the floor.  I had enough linden to purchase one gown for the casting.  I stood there for what felt like hours, dragging my eyes away from one breath taking creation to the next, trying to decide what I wanted.  And then my eyes fell on “SHYMS Dress Mathilda Black&Blue”.  While I can’t say  that I could choose a favorite, this one really hit me and felt like the one.  So I bought it and took it home to style.

I don’t believe I have ever worked so hard to prepare for a casting.  And I’m sure every other lady there was the same way, because they all looked absolutely beautiful.  Its not every day you get the opportunity to do printwork AND runway for such a talented designer!  And that hard work paid off.  I am honored to be part of the 10 chosen and can’t wait to get to bring you more of her lovely designs on my blog.  Congratulations to the following girls and Thank You Shym!!

  • Calypso Oliphaunt
  • Caoimhe Lionhearrt
  • Katherine Comet
  • Kiki Daniels
  • LENA Attila
  • Morgane Batista
  • Rissa Friller
