To Be or Not To Be…
…a Neko? Even if you aren’t you can still wear LoveCats!!
Last winter, I was hired as a model for LoveCats. After working there for a few months, my SL time got a lot busier with blogging so I unfortunately had to step down as a model. However, LoveCat Thei has kindly allowed me to blog for her! I just want to say, something I noticed right from the start, that LoveCat’s shop may be targeted to all the nekos and other furries in SL, but omg…her designs are incredible for wearing everyday too!!
The detail she puts into each piece is amazing. Its quite obvious the amount of time and effort that she enjoys putting into her work. And that she loves her job! You have to see her designs for yourself to see what I mean. Even for those who don’t want to be a Cat or other form of animal in SL, you can still very much appreciate the intricacy of her work and quality it will add to your wardrobe. The pieces are great for mix and matching for models! Before I keep going on all night, let me show you what I mean with one of her newest releases for women.

Kiki Gets a Makeover
…and I would love your opinion!! It is so hard to find unique and quality Asian skins in SL, that not everyone wears. And I’m sure soon this one will be worn by everyone as well. However for the time being I’m loving it!! What do you think? Old look or new look better?

Styling 22769 ~ Casual Couture
Paco Pooley, one of the co-owner and creator of 22769 ~ Casual Couture (along with Manuel Ormidale), sent me a few new releases and sales to blog this last week. Thank you Paco 😉 I realized that some are mens clothing and my avatar is female so I’ve determined to create a male avatar to help with my blogging. Or maybe I’ll find a male friend to help hmmmm…. Anyhow, in the meantime, let me begin by telling you a little about their shop.
22769 – Casual Couture carries casual street- and club-wear for men and women. Their textures are quite good and the prim work is as well, with unexpected pieces added for good detail. They participate in several hunts so you can find wonderful freebies on occasion and they are also part of The Couturier’s Loft (see a recent post on their newest release for TCL here), a special discount room for German designers. Styling Goddess Apparel Part 2 of 4 “Party Gowns”
I have a major soft spot for beautiful, well made, romantic designs. When I found Athene Forder’s shop, *Goddess Apparel* I fell in love. She has a wide variety of styles but you can see her hand in all of them. There are many period style clothing, some silks, several masks, formal wear and even some casual clothing. Her styles are very feminine and the textures she uses are very unique to many I’ve seen in SL. She also has gift certificates available for purchase if you wish to give a great gift to your friend or loved one.
A couple of weeks ago I was in her shop looking around and started chatting with her. I was interested in blogging her so she told me to pick out a few items and she would send them to me. Well…the very generous woman ended up sending me more than I even asked for. So I’ve been blogging the outfits in separate posts. Styling PomPomPom
I’m sure you know by now that I absolutely love finding good deals in SL. So when I stumbled across PomPomPom, I was ecstatic. Evelyn Hartshon’s whole entire collection is below 100L! And if that isn’t enough, she even has a discount room with some items for as little as 5L! And this stuff is not cheaply made. Its colorful, bright, great to mix and match and sure to bring a little cheer to your day. It did just that to me when I was blogging it. Even her store building and decor is so bright & cheery I like to go there just to look around. I’ve made a good little dent in her visitor counter!
So when I was there, again, last night…looking for another shirt to layer with the items I’d already bought for this post, I decided to take a few photos of the building to show you just how interesting it is. Evelyn also dropped on me her outfit she has made for “The Next Big Thing” Hunt. And I have decided I’m going to do a 2nd post on that one, so I can give you more information about the hunt as well. Evelyn is quite the busy woman. Not only does she own and design for PomPomPom, but also organizes hunts such as “The Next Big Thing” and “The Unknown Hunt Series”. She is the European manager for Cafe Andromeda, a club & beach resort, and is founder of the Fashion On A Budget Blog. I’ll be adding that blog to my blog roll! A Day in the Life of “An Auditioning Model”
Sweating palms, racing heartbeats, biting lips, pacing the floor…this could describe many things but today it is what was going on at SHYMS Mainstore. Shym Mosely, owner & designer of SHYMS, held a casting today to find 10 models (female) to represent her stunning brand in both Print & Runway. The backstage was literally overflowing with gorgeous ladies, there to show their best and disply why they should be chosen to represent such a gorgeous designer! I do not know that I could have ever chosen 10 from the women who came to the casting. I wish so much I could have taken pictures of each and everyone to show you just how beautiful they all were. Shym plans to cast for 5 more at an upcoming date. I don’t blame her!
Castings/auditions can always be stressful and nerve wracking. And waiting for the results even more so. When I first set foot in Shym’s shop, my mouth dropped to the floor. I had enough linden to purchase one gown for the casting. I stood there for what felt like hours, dragging my eyes away from one breath taking creation to the next, trying to decide what I wanted. And then my eyes fell on “SHYMS Dress Mathilda Black&Blue”. While I can’t say that I could choose a favorite, this one really hit me and felt like the one. So I bought it and took it home to style.
I don’t believe I have ever worked so hard to prepare for a casting. And I’m sure every other lady there was the same way, because they all looked absolutely beautiful. Its not every day you get the opportunity to do printwork AND runway for such a talented designer! And that hard work paid off. I am honored to be part of the 10 chosen and can’t wait to get to bring you more of her lovely designs on my blog. Congratulations to the following girls and Thank You Shym!!
